Read the question twice. Circle the numbers. Underline what is asked.

Ask: is this ratio, fraction, percentage, or model?

Step 3 β€” Draw the Model

One bar per group. Label units clearly.

Step 4 β€” Solve

Do the arithmetic. Write units after every number.

Step 5 β€” Check

Re-read the question. Did you answer what was asked?
