Volume of a cuboid = l × b × h.

Big Idea
Volume of a cuboid = l × b × h.
V = l × b × h1 litre = 1000 cm³
Length × breadth × height.
Key points
  1. 11 L = 1000 cm³.
  2. 2Water volume = base area × water height.
  3. 3Change in height = change in volume ÷ base area.
  4. 4Displacement: object volume = rise × base area.
Worked example
  1. 1Volume = 15 × 6 × 4.
  2. 2= 360 cm³.
Answer: 360 cm³
